Count characters with or without whitespace, measure UTF-8 bytes, and check a target length.
Input is limited to 200,000 UTF-16 code units. Split longer documents into sections.
Hello UBIS!contains 11 characters including whitespace, 10 excluding whitespace, and 11 UTF-8 bytes. Use Insert example to check it.
Modern browsers count combined emoji and Korean text as visible character clusters. Excluding whitespace removes spaces, tabs, and line breaks. Words are whitespace-separated groups; lines are counted by line breaks. Empty text has 0 lines.
Bytes are measured in UTF-8. A typical Korean syllable uses 3 bytes; Latin letters, digits, and ordinary spaces use 1 byte. Systems using EUC-KR or other counting rules may differ, so check the destination form before submitting. TXT files use UTF-8 without a BOM.
Split documents that exceed the input limit. If clipboard access is blocked, select and copy the text directly in the input field.
This tool does not send your input or selected files to a processing server or write them to browser storage. Refreshing or closing the page clears your work. Save any results you need first.
